What I’d Tell My Younger Self as a Tech Leader

By Mo Jamous

When I look back on my journey, I realize how much I’ve grown — not just as a technologist, but as a leader. I’m Mo Jamous, a CIO and AI advocate, and if I could go back and talk to my younger self, I’d say this:

šŸ‘‚ Listen More Than You Speak

People will tell you what they need if you’re patient enough to hear it.

⚙️ Don’t Fear Complexity

Some of the most important innovations come from tackling the problems no one else wants to touch.

šŸ‘„ People > Tech

You can have the best systems in the world, but if you don’t support your teams, none of it matters.

I’ve been privileged to lead large-scale digital transformation efforts, but the most fulfilling part has always been the people — mentoring, building trust, and creating a culture of learning and resilience.

To those starting out in tech: stay curious, stay humble, and never stop evolving.
